Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information Brivoy ("we", "us") collects when you use our site, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or otherwise using Brivoy, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, username, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash), or your Google profile information if you sign up with Google.
- Profile information — anything you choose to add, such as a bio, avatar, banner image, website, and social links.
- Content you submit — products you launch, comments, ratings, votes, and follows.
- Usage data — pages visited, products viewed, and an anonymized, hashed visitor identifier used for basic analytics.
- Payment information — if you subscribe or book a Featured/Promoted slot, payments are processed by PayPal; we store the resulting subscription/transaction reference, not your card or bank details.
How we use your information
- To create and secure your account, and to show your public profile and activity to other users.
- To operate core features: voting, commenting, following, launches, and notifications.
- To send transactional emails (verification, password resets, launch/comment notifications) and, if you've opted in, promotional and marketing emails.
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms of Service.
- To improve Brivoy based on aggregate, anonymized usage trends.
Marketing communications
If you agreed to receive promotional emails, marketing communications, and updates when you signed up, we'll send them to your inbox. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email, or from your Account settings under Email preferences — this won't affect transactional emails needed to operate your account.
Sharing your information
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Brivoy (such as our email delivery and payment providers), when required by law, or with your consent.

Your rights
You can view and update most of your information from Account settings at any time, download or request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account. Contact us to make a request that isn't self-service yet.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward as required for legal, security, or record-keeping purposes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date.
