LastPing

LastPing is a monitoring tool that helps make sure background processes are actually running. It monitors cron jobs, backups, CI/CD pipelines, and AI agents from a single console, sending alerts when a monitored process stops checking in so teams can catch silent failures before they become outages. Built with AI agents in mind, LastPing lets agents connect through an MCP server and create their own monitors and alerts. It is designed to detect common agent failures, including tasks that stop mid-run, processes that hang without checking in, and runs that report success without actually completing the intended work. LastPing also provides an open-source Go CLI that can be used to add monitoring checks to scripts and pipelines with a single line.
